LAPLACE — While road conditions have improved in some areas Thursday morning, several closures are still in place throughout the state.

Ice on the elevated portions of these roadways continues to pose a threat to travelers.

Crews from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development have been applying salt and de-icing materials throughout the event.

Thursday’s weather forecast calls for sunshine and above-freezing temperatures, which will help in the attempt to re-open all roads currently closed.

DOTD has brought in extra staff and equipment from other portions of the state in an effort to apply more manpower to areas that have closed roads.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 3127 ramp to Northbound I-310 in St. Charles Parish is now OPEN effective immediately.

I-10 Eastbound from LA 42 to the St. John th Baptist parish line is opened. THERE IS NO WESTBOUND ACCESS AT THIS TIME.

Eastbound I-10 between U.S. 51 and Williams Blvd. in St. Charles and Jefferson Parishes is now OPEN. Westbound is still closed.
