LAPLACE — Sheriff Mike Tregre and a few of his fellow officers enjoyed visiting with citizens during a coffee and donuts event this week at the SJSO’s Percy Hebert Building in LaPlace.

Sheriff Tregre and officers led visitors on a tour of the SJSO while discussing community concerns and the operations of the SJSO.

“Officers look forward to these types of events because it offers the opportunity to communicate with our citizens in a relaxed atmosphere,” Sheriff Tregre said. “This interaction with citizens helps to develop closer relationships between the community and law enforcement.”
