Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As a Christian, I believe every day is an opportunity to have an exciting experience. Last Wednesday morning, I planned to meet a few friends for coffee at 8. I got there a little early and noticed a young man sitting alone in a booth. I introduced myself and found out his name was Ethan. He was in LaPlace working to help set up Chick-Fil-A for its opening.

My friend, Jim Ryan, came in and he and I sat at our regular table. Shortly after, Ethan walked up and asked if he could join us. Later we were joined by a few other friends.

Ethan shared about being a Christian and his relationship with Jesus. He was 26 years old, married, and he and his wife both worked for Chick-Fil-A.  It amazes me the people God places in your life when you’re open to meeting others. Ethan spoke about the Bible being the Good News.

A little later, my grandson, Kameron, joined us as we talked about the Bible. I asked Kameron (who’s getting married this weekend) if he still reads the Bible. He answered, “No, not really.”

After a few minutes, everyone left except Ethan, Kameron and I. Ethan shared with Kameron about his life as a Christian.

I thank God that I met Ethan and am especially grateful that Kameron had an opportunity to hear the exciting news of a 26-year-old sharing about a personal relationship with Jesus.

I firmly believe it was no accident that Ethan was in LaPlace that morning because God had arranged for Kameron to meet him.
