Arrests made in stolen band trailer from Destrehan High School

DESTREHAN — Sheriff Champagne is pleased to announce that two arrests have been made so far in connection with the theft of the Destrehan High School Band Utility Trailer that occurred on October 11th, 2021 at #1 Wildcat Ln. in Destrehan.
During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to track the stolen utility trailer to an address in the 300 block of Barkwood Circle D’Iberville Mississippi. Detectives made contact with two subjects, one a 26-year old W/M identified as Caleb Deshaun Skinner from D’Iberville Mississippi, and the other subject, a 36-year old B/M identified as Phillip Lebarron Watkins from Biloxi, Mississippi.
Based on the investigation, detectives were able to secure arrest warrants for both suspects. Detectives also located all of the trailers contents and stolen equipment values at approximately $30,000.
Sheriff Champagne would like to thank the D’Iberville Police Department, as well as the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this matter. Sheriff Champagne also commends the swift and diligent actions of detectives Chris Waguespack and Sgt. Holly Laurent thought out the course of this investigation.
