Keller: Prayer guides us through life

Since I became a Christian in 1980, I started reading the Bible daily and have different spiritual books with uplifting messages to help me in my daily walk. I also find it necessary to not be equally yoked with the unbeliever and have fellowship daily with other Christians.
In the Bible, Jesus gave us the Our Father, a beautiful, powerful prayer. In a secular program that helped me to get sober, I was introduced to the Serenity Prayer. It teaches me to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
A few years ago, I received the following prayer about having the favor of God which I repeat often:
Father, I receive and declare your favor in my life today. I am the righteousness of God and I am entitled to covenant kindness and covenant favor. I thank you for your favor surrounding me like a shield everywhere I go, in everything I do and with everyone I meet. I expect good things to hap- pen in my life because your divine favor is upon me. Your favor in my life is immeasurable, limit- less and profusely abounds towards me.
Father, thank you that your special favor produces supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor, increased assets, greater victories, prominence, recognition, preferential treatment, petitions granted, policies and rules changed and battles won in which I do not have to fight. Your spotlight of favor is on my life now. Thank you for causing your face to shine upon me and giving me an abundance of favor with you and with man, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Be assured that the favor of God, Who is not a respecter of persons, is available to all believers.
