RESERVE — St. John Theatre will be holding auditions at the theatre in Reserve at 6:30 p.m. April 26 and 27 and at 9 a.m. April 28 for their production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The Theatre invites all local actors ages 13 and above to audition.

Children ages 9 and above are invited to audition for the roles of sea creatures and lagoon animals.

Long time St. John theatre friend, actor and director Mike Brooks is directing “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.”

“I am very excited to bring the story of Princess Ariel to life on the St. John Theatre Stage,” Brooks said.

“There is so much talent in the River Parishes, and I cannot wait to see everyone at auditions.”

In addition to roles onstage, there will be many other interesting jobs to fill. Volunteers are needed for backstage work, set construction and painting, costumes and props.

Those interested should attend one of the audition sessions to fill out a volunteer sheet. Disney’s The Little Mermaid will run July 20–22 and July 25–28.
