Comets shooting high into stellar 2005 season

The St. Charles Catholic Comets have begun the prep football season at 5-0, heading into last night’s district match against John Curtis.

Veteran head coach Frank Monica said that the circumstances around the team this year have made that feat even more impressive than ever.

“When you consider the interruptions, the disturbances, everything from these hurricanes, it says a lot about these young men to be able to focus and start 5-0 against a very tough schedule of teams,” he said. “It’s just a compliment to their dedication.”
