LULING — Cypress Physical Therapy celebrated the opening of its fifth location with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 27. Located at 12807 Highway 90 in Luling, the new clinic expands Cypress PT’s reach into St. Charles Parish.
Greeting the community at the Luling clinic is Cypress PT’s newest partner, Patrick Hennessey, PT, DPT. Hennessey obtained his doctorate of physical therapy at LSU Health and Science Center in New Orleans in 2016. He is certified in dry needling, spinal manipulation, and other manual therapy techniques. He began his career in St. Charles Parish, working in an outpatient setting heavily focused on orthopedics, sports rehabilitation and occupational health. He’s been involved in the local school system, volunteering to provide sideline coverage for Hahnville High School football games and also assisting with athletic training for baseball, basketball and other sports.
Hennessey also has a passion for working in occupational health, performing pre- and post-employment testing, return to work testing, fit-for-duty testing and functional capacity evaluations.
“As someone who has worked in the St. Charles community for years, I am excited to bring my style of treatment to the Cypress team and provide a great space for our patients to make their recovery,” Hennessey said.
Cypress in Luling is owned by Hennessey, Christopher Cancienne and Buddy Boe.
Cypress Physical Therapy opened its first location in LaPlace in 2016 and soon partnered with Dustin Roussel to open a clinic in Gramercy less than one year later. Immediately before the pandemic, Cypress partnered with Jonathan Pecoraro to open a location in Hammond and worked through the pandemic to open in February 2021, holding construction design and update meetings by Zoom. Last year, Cypress partnered with Phillip Richard to open its first location outside Louisiana in Orange, Texas.
“Patrick’s energy is infectious and we are excited to partner with him as we create another space to bring the Cypress atmosphere to the rest of the River Parishes,” said Cypress founder Christopher Cancienne.
Each Cypress Physical Therapy location is equipped with specialists who offer a wide range of services including physical therapy, manual therapy, massage therapy, trigger point dry needling, sports performance rehab, post-surgical rehab, and work conditioning.
