REV appoints Monte Danos as director of growth and strategy development

REV has appointed Monte Danos as its new growth, strategy, and product development director in the local telecommunication provider’s sales and marketing team. He is expected to bring telecommunications expertise to the REV team and will lead critical business priorities supporting the company’s mission.

Danos will define wrap-around marketing tactics, drive growth, and develop REV’s competitive residential and business product offerings.

REV is the parent company of Reserve Telephone Company (RTC), EATEL/EATEL Business, and Vision Communications. With a 90-year history of serving rural and urban communities, REV has established itself as Louisiana’s largest locally owned telecommunications network.

“Monte brings a wealth of experience and leadership that aligns perfectly with our company’s vision,” said Josh Descant, REV’s CEO. “His strategic mindset and industry knowledge will help us navigate growth opportunities while reinforcing our commitment to innovation and customer experience.”

Danos has established a career by understanding consumer needs, developing effective marketing strategies, and fostering product innovation in residential and commercial markets.

“Monte’s expertise in product development and market strategy makes him a tremendous asset to REV,” said Tressy Leindecker, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “His leadership will strengthen our product and growth strategy and inspire the team he will lead, driving collaboration and advancements across our organization.”

Before REV, Danos held key roles at Cox Communications, managing product lines, directing marketing initiatives, and leading projects. As Senior Director of Marketing at Cox Business, Danos coordinated content strategies, directed fiber campaigns, and managed resources for sales training.

He previously held regional B2B marketing responsibilities across Cox’s Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Rhode Island, and Connecticut markets.

Before joining Cox Business, Monte oversaw Cox’s residential internet, video, and voice product lines. His responsibilities included launching and enhancing products, building awareness, and driving subscriber growth.

His early news reporting and television production career established a strong foundation for his telecommunications career. Monte graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University.
