Community center closed through June 21

Due to air conditioning repairs, the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center will be closed from Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21. All activities scheduled to take place in the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center have been relocated or suspended.  

Below is a list of activities impacted by the closure of the community center next week: 

· Basketball Camp will take place at R.K. Smith Middle School (281 Sugarland Pkwy, Luling) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Camp is closed Wednesday for the Juneteenth holiday. 

·  Line Dancing for registered participants only will take place on Monday, June 17 at R.K. Smith from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. 

· Agility Camp will take place at R.K. Smith on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. 

·  Cornhole has been suspended. 

All offices within the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center will be closed, but staff can be reached by phone or email. The Department of Parks and Recreation can be reached at 985-783-5090, Community Services can be reached at 985-764-7944 and RSVP can be reached at 985-783-8907.
