Before the students at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School went out for their Easter break, they participated in a morning prayer service that commemorated the events of Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday.
The fourth grade classes entered the church waving palm branches to mark Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem.
Then the Last Supper was reenacted with the sharing of bread and wine as in the first Holy Eucharist and the washing of the feet.
All in attendance had their hands washed by faculty and staff members as an example of service that Jesus modeled.
They ended their day with Living Stations of the Cross and Veneration of the Cross.
