PARADIS — An area man was found dead in a tree, authorities said, the result of an accidental death.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office said deputies were notified at approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday by Levee Board employees that a man’s body was found in the woods along a canal, south of the Dollar General in Paradis.

Once on scene, officers located Brandon Comardelle, 32, of Paradis, stuck in a small tree.

Authorities said it appears Comardelle fell from the tree and sustained injuries resulting in his death. An autopsy ruled it an accidental death.
