Keller: Real change follows lifestyle commitment

A few months ago, I was in New Orleans and ran across a young lady who grew up with my children. She was the best friend of one of my daughters.
I, immediately, said, “You really look good!”
She smiled and said, “I’ve lost 70 pounds.” Ever since I’ve known her, she was overweight.
Last week, I again saw her and she was excited to tell me that she had now lost 90 pounds.
“How did you do it?” I asked. “Weight Watchers,” was her reply.
She was always a pretty young lady, but now because of her self-worth and the joy she had, it was evident.
I shared how I was excited to see her and to hear about the changes in her life. It’s been said that your eyes are the headlights of your heart. Believe me, she had her bright lights on!
Before I left, I said, “I always knew you were pretty, but today I realize how pretty you are. She smiled and thanked me.
She said that Weight Watchers was the answer to her problem and she will always be grateful for the program.
From the discussion I had with her, I learned that if you have a problem, admit it and then do something about it.
Will that program help everyone with a weight problem? No, only if you are committed to changing your lifestyle, which will automatically change your attitude about yourself and others.
