MT. AIRY — St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District Superintendent Kevin George, Garyville-Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet Principal Terran Perry, Marathon Petroleum Corporation Human Resources Manager Megan Hudson, Marathon Human Resources Consultant Erika Bruce and School Board President Ali Burl III recently gathered at the elementary school to celebrate a large donation.

The school and industry leaders met to receive a $50,000 Marathon donation to support STEM learning at the school.

School officials said Marathon is a valued partner, giving monetarily and through the donation of time to help students further explore science, technology, engineering and math.
