Foxwood Levee Project gearing up

LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish in coordination with contractor J.E.S Construction Inc., is beginning Phase II of the Foxwood Levee Project, parish leaders announced this week.
This $150,000 project will work to help alleviate flooding near the entrance of Foxwood subdivision by pumping rainwater run off to Foxwood canal.
During this time, Foxwood Lane will be reduced to one lane of traffic however all residents will have access to their homes. Garbage, Fire and Police services will be uninterrupted during construction.
According to the Parish, Foxwood residents are encouraged to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment as they travel through the neighborhood.
The estimated time of completion for the project is 45 days, weather permitting.
