Kailie Carrigee was recently selected as the Harry Hurst Middle School 2017-2018 Student of the Year.

She is the daughter of Kevin and Korie Carrigee; they reside in Destrehan.

Kailie is in the Gifted program and is on the debate team and Runnerette dance team, where she serves as captain. Kailie has danced competitively outside of school for many years, and she serves as a demonstrator at her dance studio.

She also volunteers through community organizations including a food pantry and the special needs prom.
