- Oct. 12, 1994: The 4-H folks at Our Lady of Grace School recently took to the road, cleaning trash, tires, wood and other debris from along Highway 3179 in Reserve. The 4-H club members and related folks who participated in the cleaning effort include Marshand Adams (leader), Brenda Jones (leader), Natasha Jones (junior leader), Mary Berryhill (parent), Charlotte Short (parent), Geraldine Mitchell (grandparent), Godfrey Berryhill, Oscar Johnson III, Credere Joseph, Darnell Fleming, Gerald Washington, Troylicia Robertson, Karanell Tassin, Courtney Turcuit, Kimberly Short, Dejalin Mitchell, Tara Short and Akeem Sumlin.
Oct. 11, 1984: Stacie Colgan, seated second center, was named Junior Miss Andouille Festival and will reign at the festival sponsored by the LaPlace Volunteer Fire Department. She competed against 22 contestants.
