Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is on the move in a big way.

Upsilon Mu Zeta is investing in River Parish communities. The youths are one of their priorities. They have adopted Fifth Ward Elementary School in Reserve. Drenean Brown is the principal.

Upsilon Mu Zeta has contributed to the empowerment of the youth through donations of school supplies, book bags and other language, math and vocabulary learning tools.

Two students were selected by school personnel and received bikes for Christmas.

The members have enjoyed interacting with students and staff. Chapter members have performed various African fables, classroom storytelling and informal visits with faculty.

Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority has demonstrated the true meaning of community service. Staff and students were most appreciative. They are looking forward to what’s in store for next school year.
