VACHERIE — St. James Parish residents have two opportunities to voice their opinions about possible tax rate changes.

The St. James Parish Council will hold public hearings at 6:15 p.m. May 31 in the Council Chambers of the Parish Courthouse Annex, 2631 Louisiana 20 in Vacherie and at 6:15 p.m. June 14 in the Council Chambers of the Parish Courthouse, 5800 Louisiana 44 in Convent.

The Parish Council is considering levying additional or increased millage rates without any further voter approval.
