LAPLACE — The 2017 St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraiser for Special Olympics Louisiana takes place Thursday in St. John the Baptist Parish

The run begins at 8:30 a.m. at Frostop in LaPlace and ends at St. Peter’s Church parking lot in Reserve.

The Post Run Celebration — games, food and drinks — will be at Frenier’s Landing in LaPlace.
