GARYVILLE — San Francisco Plantation will host its 14th Annual “Frisco Fest” Spring Garden & Craft Festival on March 11 and 12.

Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers said this year’s festival promises to be better than ever with a classic rock performance at 3 p.m. by IMAGE on March 11 and a Zydeco show featuring Geno Delafose & The French Rockin’ Boogie at 1 p.m. March 12.

The spring festival features more than 100 artists and crafters throughout the grounds, delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, master gardener clinics, a junior art expo and children’s activities, including pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, rock climbing and bungee trampolines.

Frisco Fest is also packed full of special events that begin Saturday morning with the Tour De’ San Francisco Bike Race along scenic River Road, and the “Cruisin’ The Plantation Car Show” Sunday will feature a 5k run and a 1-mile fun run.

All of the excitement takes place on the San Francisco Plantation grounds, and tours of the historic house are available throughout the weekend. San Francisco Plantation is located at 2646 River Road in Garyville.
