LAPLACE — A St. John the Baptist Parish man is facing two child pornography charges after a multi-agency investigation led to his arrest this week, authorities said.
Justin Davis, 27, of LaPlace was arrested Thursday for felony pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and felony pornography involving juveniles.
Agent Lisa Maher of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office led the investigation, and A.G. spokeswoman Ruth Wisher said Homeland Security Investigations and the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office participated in the case.
Wisher said the A.G.’s office received a tip indicating the suspect possessed child pornography, which led to the investigation.
At this time, authorities said the suspect is not believed to have produced or distributed the child pornography.
As of Friday, Davis remained in custody at the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Sherman Walker Correctional Center in lieu of a $70,000 bond.
