Donald “Dos Gris” J. Cambre

Donald “Dos Gris” J. Cambre passed away at his residence on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at the age of 79.
He was a native and lifelong resident of LaPlace.
Donald served in the U.S. Army National Guard of Louisiana as a helicopter mechanic. He volunteered from 1970 to 1977 for the LaPlace Fire Department and later retired from Shell Oil Company in Norco.
Donald loved hunting and fishing and worked for many years in the Search and Rescue Unit for St. John the Baptist Parish.
He was the beloved husband of Cynthia Perilloux Cambre for 56 years; loving father of Drake Anthony Cambre (Wanda), Malese C. Orgeron (Ray) and Cleve Cambre; grandfather of Kristine Troxclair (Timothy), Kayla Cambre, Damian Orgeron, Devin Orgeron and Megan Orgeron; great grandfather of Hudson Troxclair; son of the late Guy Cambre Sr. and Edma Duhe Cambre; and brother of Guy Cambre Jr.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews and his hunting buddies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:30 p.m.
