LAPLACE — The LaPlace Elementary School 2016-2017 Tigerette Dance Team recently attended UDA Summer Dance Camp at Southeastern University in Hammond.

The team placed third in Home Routine, was the Ultimate Drill Down Team winner in the Junior Division and received the Superior Team award for its composite scores of individual evaluations, earning an invitation of eligibility to perform as a member of the UCA/UDA team at the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

Kaelen Washington, Amyah Littleton, Shai Ward, Alexis Baker, Melody Francis and Ron’Keya Kelly were selected All-American with an invitation of eligibility to perform as a member of the UCA/UDA team at Houston’s 2016 Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Littleton was also selected by UDA staff as a Pin It Forward recipient as a dancer who showed an above and beyond personality at summer camp.

The Tigerettes perform are under the direction of Donna Duplessis.
