Cub Scouts Pack 317 members learned water safety, wildlife education and information on the building and operation of the Bonnet Carre Spillway at their Activity Meeting in June. Senior Park Ranger Skip Jacobs, Park Ranger Rusty Munson, USCG Aux. Captain Perry DeCoute, St. Charles Sheriff Office Sgt. Doug Carter and Sgt. Richard Miguez helped teach the scouts, of whom, many went fishing and caught and released their catch during the meeting.
