Jaycee Bennett, daughter of David and Desiree Bennett of Garyville, is the recipient of the 2016 Connie Weber Miano dance scholarship award for Dance Etc. of Reserve.

Sandra Dottolo opened the school 35 years ago and gives the dance scholarship annually in honor of her mother.

The scholarship covers tuition for a year of dance study and is awarded to someone who stands out in dance.

Jaycee has a passion for tap and has mastered all that was taught to her. She now competes and wins in this genre of dance. She also continues to study with others who specialize in tap.
