RESERVE — The Department of Transportation and Development announced there would be intermittent lane closures on River Road (Louisiana 44) between Louisiana 53 (Central Avenue) and Louisiana 54 — one mile west of Louisiana 53 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today (Wednesday/June 29).

State officials said the closures are due to overhead work being performed at a local plant site.

One lane will be open at all times, weather permitting.

DETOUR INFO:

• Westbound motorists should take Louisiana 53 to U.S. 61 (Airline Highway), then U.S. 61 (Airline Highway) to Louisiana 54 to re-intersect with Louisiana 44.

• Eastbound motorists should take Louisiana 54 to U.S. 61 (Airline Highway), then U.S. 61 (Airline Highway) to Louisiana 53 to re-intersect with Louisiana 44.
