LAPLACE — It’s time for a fiesta.
The River Region Chamber of Commerce is thrilled for its event Chamberita After Hours, the first official networking event of the year.
Those who attend can enjoy networking, margaritas and munchies.
The night’s fun is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 4 at the Louisiana FCU Training Center, located at 406 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace.
Chamber members and non-members interested in joining that night are welcome to attend.
Chamber Executive Director Chassity McComack said the co-hosts of the event are Louisiana Federal Credit Union and Petra Restaurant.
“The Chamberita theme actually follows from past Chamber events,” McComack said. “Chair-elect and co-host Kim Bourgeois thought it would be a good idea to tie into the upcoming Cinco de Mayo. Not to mention, the margarita color factors into the Chamber logo color of green!”
Bourgeois is enthusiastic for the event and hopes a number of River Region Chamber members show up for Chamberita After Hours.
“I encourage Chamber members to attend to meet and network with other professionals from the River Parish region,” she said. “Chamber ambassadors will be on hand to introduce and connect members. It will be a great opportunity to make connections in a relaxing, festive atmosphere.”
Invitations have all ready been emailed to all members, as with any event. Those wishing to attend Chaberita After Hours are encouraged to RSVP by calling 985-653-1752 or email business@LouisianaFCU.org. Reservations allow hosts to properly prepare for everyone that wants to attend, McComack said.
“This is a networking event for Chamber members to give them an opportunity to come together with local business peers and get to meet some members they may have not met yet,” she said. “These opportunities are about building relationships that hopefully can lead to future commerce.”
