On Tuesday, April 5, 2016, Linda Cortez received her heavenly wings with her family gathered by her side.

Left to cherish the memories of her are a brother, Harold Moneyhun; a sister, Nancy Sheldon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her lovely children Stacey Hymel (Aaron), Cathy Tomlinson (Carl), Susan Trafficano, Geordi Cortez (Brenda); her adored grandchildren Christopher Tomlinson (Kandice), Erin Trafficano, Charles Tomlinson (Amanda), Caleb Tomlinson and Dylan Hymel; great grandsons Nicholas and Lawson Tomlinson and a great grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.V. Moneyhun and Margie “NeeNee” Moneyhun.

She will be sorely missed and loved by many.

Services will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at First United Methodist Church, 301 Bamboo Road in LaPlace.

Visitation is from 4 to 5 p.m.
