GARYVILLE — There will be more than 100 artists and crafters at the 13th annual San Francisco Plantation Frisco Fest Spring Garden & Craft Festival, which opens for fun from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the plantation in Garyville.
There will be free parking for the festival, and tickets cost $5. For tours of the house, the price is $10.
General Manager Kim Fontenot said activities planned include a petting zoo, pony rides, a bungee trampoline and bull riding.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the crowds coming into the grounds and seeing all of the different creations the vendors come up with this year,” Fontenot said.
“Visitors should come to support the artists in and around our community. Come out, we have a fabulous car show Saturday morning, along with the bike tour and IMAGE playing at 3 p.m. Sunday is the 5K and 1 mile fun run, and Geno’s Rockin the Barn plays at 1 p.m.”
Festival goers can enjoy food such as corn dogs, fried fish with fries, pies, cracklin’ and more from different vendors.
“Poncho Roussel and Jeff McClung will be cooking jambalaya and shrimp étouffée,” Fontenot said.
“Dat Truck will be making delicious Dat Burgers. Shauna St. Pierree Fuselier started her career at Bella Luna under Executive Chef Host Phiefer, now owner of Middendorf’s. She has won several major cooking contests. We have a full bar for adults, as well.”
