Krystal Burger’s opening celebrated

LAPLACE — Krystal Burger welcomed the greater LaPlace community to its ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening Dec. 19.
Marketing Director George Wilburn, District Manager Roy Verret and General Manager Helena Clark were welcomed by Parish President Natalie Robottom, administrative staff, Economic Development Committee members and Council Members Larry Snyder, Jaclyn Hotard, Lennix Madere, Cheryl Millet and Lucien Gauff.
The new store is located at 143 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace.
The grand opening included refreshments, gift bags, coupons, games, prizes and a DJ. Robottom greeted attendees and acknowledged her excitement for the grand opening before the ribbon cutting commenced.
“As Parish President, economic growth remains one of my top priorities, and I am encouraged by your choice to locate your business in St. John,” Robottom said. “Congratulations and best wishes as you open your doors to new and old customers. Thank you for being a part of the economic landscape of St. John the Baptist Parish.”
The 83-year-old company is known for its small, square hamburger sliders with steamed-in onions.
Menu items also include hotdog “pups,” miniature chicken sandwiches, desserts, shakes, wings, kid’s meals and promotional treats. Breakfast is served daily until 11 a.m. Residents can also sign up for Club Krystal through the company’s website, which offers exclusive coupons and deals for members.
