The National Geographic Giant Traveling Map of Europe has been on display at West St. John Elementary School. 

Among the lessons students have been learning are latitude and longitude and geography facts about countries throughout Europe. 

National Geographic’s Giant Traveling Maps, produced by National Geographic Live, tour the country’s schools and bring hands-on geography education to hundreds of thousands of students each year. Designed to promote geographic literacy by igniting interest in geography, the giant maps and accompanying activities incorporate physical movement and games to teach students place names, physical geography and cultural geography as well as map reading skills.
