ABBOTT MARRERO – Ruth Savoy Abbott, 74, a native of White Castle, former resident of New Orleans for 34 years and resident of Boutte, died Nov. 10.She was the mother of Elizabeth Madere, David Abbott and the late Charles Abbott.

She was also the sister of Katherine Timmons, Mabel Clulee, Roy, Earl, Goldman and the late Lloyd Savoy.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 9 a.m. in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero,with interment at Westlawn Memorial Park.

CHAMPAGNE LULING – Sylvia Perrer Champagne, 62, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Luling, died Nov. 9. She was the wife of Jerry Champagne andmother of Catherine Samaha, Gregory, Morris and Jerry Champagne Jr.

She was also the daughter of Elma Matherne Perrer and the late Eugene Perrer Sr. and sister of Eugene, Dean Perrer and the late Daniel Perrer.She is also survived by five grandchildren.

She was a retired Deputy Tax Assessor for St. Charles Parish.Services were held Nov. 11 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, withinterment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

CLOUDET JEFFERSON – Aldonia Ford Cloudet, 76, a native of Union and a resident of Reserve, died Nov. 7. She was the mother of Adrain, Sullan, Alfretia,Barras and George Cloudet and Stochler Mason.

She was also the sister of Linsey Kirksey Sr. and friend of Dr. HerbertCambre Jr.

She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Zion Missionary Baptist Church,Jefferson, with interment at Pilgrim Cemetery, Union.

COLLY BOUTTE – Herman Colly Sr., 72, a native and resident of Luling, died Nov. 9.He was the father of Erith Raymond, Michael, Kimball and Herman Colly Jr.

He was also the son of the late James Sr. and Florence Markey Colly andbrother of Florence Lewis, Ester Holton, Vance, Hewitt, James and Hershel Colly.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Nov. 13 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, withinterment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

KEYS GARYVILLE – Alexander “Pee Wee” Keys, 63, a native of Lions and a resident of Garyville, died Nov. 11. He was the father of Alexander JonesKeys and step-father of Craig Cain.

He was also the son of the late John Keys Sr. and Millie Butler Sullivan andbrother of John Jr., Joseph and Alvin Keys, Larry Smith, Howard Sullivan,Odile Mitchell, Mary Isom and the late Patricia Glass.

He is also survived by two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garyville, withinterment at Maraton Bishop Cemetery, Garyville. Visitation starts at 10a.m.

RUPP BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – Mildred Champagne Rupp, 80, a native of Taft and alongtime resident of Clermont Harbor and Bay St. Louis, Miss., died Nov. 11.She was the former wife of the late Leonard C. Rupp Sr. and mother ofWayne Rupp, Myrna Michael, Glenda Bourgeois and Leonard Rupp Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Albert and Bertha Duhe Champagne and sister of Vivian Ducombs and Gladys Walker and the late Preston, Clarence, Harry, Septime, Felix, Joseph Taft, Theodore Wilson and Rena Champagne and Lynette Prudhomme.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are today at 1 p.m. at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church,Bay St. Louis, Miss.

STEIN VACHERIE – Theresa Ockman Stein, 73, a native of Reserve and a resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 10. She was the wife of the late Euclide JosephStein and mother of Joseph, Raymond, Murphy and Madeline Stein, Sr.

Monica Stein and the late Cynthia Stein.

She was also the daughter of the late Stradley and Norma Kleibert Ockman and sister of Edith Boudreaux, Andre Ockman and the late Lynn, Luse, Olide and John Ockman.

She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 13 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie,with interment at the church mausoleum.

THOMAS HARVEY – Roselia “Rose” Collins Thomas, 94, a native of St. James Parishand a resident of Harvey for 46 years, died Nov. 3 She was the wife of thelate Alex Thomas and mother of Marion Thomas and the late Lucien Jones Sr.

She was also the daughter of the late George and Emmaline Collins and sister of the late George Jr., Johnson and Alan Collins.She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 12 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Harvey, withinterment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.
