LAPLACE – Gladys G. Cubias and John Paul Sympson were united inmarriage May 8 at Ascension of Our Lord Church in LaPlace.

The Rev. Benjamin Piovan officiated.Following the ceremony, a reception was held at B.B.’s in LaPlace.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Ovidio of LaPlace. The groomis the son of Terry and Diane Sympson of LaPlace.

The bride’s dress was a white A-line gown with pearls accompanied by a full veil. Her flowers were a spring bouquet of May flowers – brilliantpinks, lavender and yellow, with roses and lilies.

The bridesmaids wore long premier blue dresses with chiffon scarfs.

Bridesmaids were Kristy Sympson, Maria Dantin and Wendy Waren, all of LaPlace.

Groomsmen were Jeff Sympson of LaPlace, Junior Palacios of Austin, Texas, and Patrick Welch of New Orleans.

Flower girl was Sarah Mazier of Slidell. Ringbearer was Jordan Smith ofLaPlace.

Following a honeymoon trip to Freeport, Bahamas, the couple will reside in LaPlace.Back to Top
