BORNEEDGARD – Paul Allen Borne, 50, a native of Edgard and a resident of Denver, Colo., died March 12. He was the former husband of Coffe StandoraBorne and Wanda Cheatem Borne and father of Nicole Zac’quel Borne.

He was also the son of Joseph Jumel Sr. and Bernice Pierre Borne andbrother of Joseph Jumel Jr., Eleene Scott, Berlyn Scott, Sandra Davis,Cheryl Lepree, Vanessa Rayford, Jacqueline Washington, Laverne Gambrell and Talbert, David, Gregory, Randall, Loretta, Rachel and Bradley Borne.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,Edgard, with private burial. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.BURLPAULINA – Doris Tassin Burl, 63, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Mt. Airy for 32 years, died March 13. She was the wife of the late ElvinBurl, mother of Samantha Wilson and Andre Burl Sr., and step-mother ofVeronica Ross, Debra Wallace and Rachel and Sonya Burl.

She was also the daughter of the late Robert and Clotilde Tassin and sister of Ida Mae Tassin and the late Ernest Tassin.

She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Community Antioch Baptist Church,Paulina, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitationstarts at 9 a.m.CANTRELLEHARVEY – Nelson J. Cantrelle Sr., 88, a native of Des Allemands and aresident of Jefferson Parish for 72 years, died March 16. He was thehusband of Sedonia Clement Cantrelle and father of Shirley McDonald and Susie and Nelson Cantrelle Jr.

He was also the son of the late Paul and Bernadette Orgeron Cantrelle and brother of Edith Kronlage, Edward “Jack” Cantrelle and the late Claudia Cortez, Elva Steppe, Lorenza Camet, Evelina Belsom and Elda, Lillian, Harry, John and Leo Cantrelle.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were held March 18 at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, Harvey, withinterment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego.DONALDSONLAPLACE – Barbara Donaldson, 49, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died March 13. She was the wife of Randall Norman and motherof Shannon Rieff and Brian and Donald Bird.

She was also the daughter of Virginia Blanchard and the late Numa Blanchard and sister of Numa Jr. and Leonard Blanchard.Services were held March 19 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace.HARMONVACHERIE – Louise Ann Triche Harmon, 74, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Vacherie and Carville, died March 16. She was the wife ofJohnny P. Harmon and mother of Anne Mary Brett and Johnny C. Harmon.She was also the daughter of the late Theodule “Jack” Sr. and LouiseDelaune Triche and sister of Claude Triche and the late Theodule “Butch” Jr., Andre, Thomas, Richard and Earl Triche.She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services were held March 19 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.JOHNSONLAPLACE – Walter Alvin Johnson, 50, a native and resident of LaPlace, died March 15. He was the former husband of Irene Johnson Steen and father ofCourtney Washington.

He was also the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson and brother of Larry,Norward Sr. and Hilton Johnson and the late Morris Johnson Jr.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Ninde Chapel United Methodist Church,LaPlace, with interment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.JONESNORCO – Percy Alton Jones, 85, a native and resident of Destrehan, died March 17. He was the husband of Genevieve Corley Jones and father ofMildred Guerin, Wilda Foskett and Charles and John Jones.

He was also the son of the late William and Ethel Etheridge Jones and had six sisters and five brothers.

He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Meadows FuneralHome, Many, with interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Many. Visitationstarts at 9 a.m.KEATINGCUT OFF – Daniel John Keating, 55, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Cut Off, died March 16. He was the father of Rachel Schouest and DavidKeating.

He was also the son of the late Nolan and Theonise Kern Keating and brother of Kenneth Keating.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was the general manager of Loop Inc., chairman of the board of theGreater Lafourche Chamber of Commerce and board member of South Louisiana United Way.

Services were held March 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, with interment at St. John Memorial Cemetery, LaPlace.LaROCCALAPLACE – Andrew J. LaRocca, 68, a native of New Orleans and resident ofLaPlace for 17 years, died March 16. He was the husband of Gloria LaRoccaand father of JoAnn Graves, Linda Broussard and Louise and Joseph LaRocca.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were held March 18 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens.NELSONST. ROSE – William Nelson Jr., 75, a native of St. Rose and resident ofKenner, died March 11. He was the father of Shirley, Vanessa, Atwood,Wornell and William Nelson III, Annette Price and Alfred, Bruce and Harold Seymore.

He was also the brother of Agnes Mason, Mary Price, Ida LeBranch and Lawrence, Johnny and John Floyd Nelson Sr.

He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 17 at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose,with interment at Love and Charity Cemetery.ZERINGUERESERVE – Rene J. “Boonie” Zeringue, 65, a native of Garyville and aresident of Reserve, died March 16. He was the husband of Rita ScallanZeringue and father of Vickie Bocage and Wendy Zeringue and the late Brian Zeringue.

He was also the son of Rene and Irene Brou Zeringue and brother of Joseph, Norman, Eldridge and Herman Zeringue and the late Beatrice Jacob and Ralph Zeringue.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were held March 19 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.
