BORNE LAPLACE – Raymond W. “Time” Borne, 36, a native and resident of LaPlace,died Jan. 5. He was the son of Eugene and Ethel “Sing” Bienvenu Borne andbrother of Eugene II, Teri and David Borne.

Services were held Jan. 8 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, withinterment at Lake Lawn Cemetery, New Orleans.

BOUDREAUX THIBODAUX – Elray J. Boudreaux Sr., 66, a native of Taft, resident of Lulingfor 22 years and a resident of Chackbay for the past 10 years, died Dec.

12. He was the husband of Louisa Cortez Boudreaux and father of ToniTreichler and Paul and Elray Boudreaux Jr. and step-father of three step-daughters.

He was also the brother of Lillian Hebert, Earl Flory and Henry and Guy Boudreaux.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 14 at Thibodaux Funeral Home, with interment atSt. Charles Cemetery, Luling.BROWN DARROW – Larry Brown, 52, a native of Convent and a resident of Gonzales, died Jan. 3. He was the husband of Ollye Brown and father of 11 daughtersand 12 sons.

He was also the son of Walter Thomas and Emelda Seio and stepson of Willie Brown and Dorothy Thomas. He was also survived by 14 brothers and11 sisters.

He is also survived by 30 grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at New St. Peter Baptist Church, Darrow,with interment at the church cemetery.

DOUGLASS LULING – Glenn C. Douglass, 76, a native of Witcher, W. Va., and a residentof Luling for 32 years, died Jan. 6. He was the husband of Bea Douglas andfather of Mike and the late Tom Douglass.

He was also the son of the late George and Mary Alice Bannister Douglass and brother of Fred and Wayne Douglass. He was preceded in death by twosisters and seven brothers.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services were held Jan. 8 at Bible Center Church, Luling, withinterment at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, W. Va.FELPS GRAMERCY – Eunice Simon Felps, 84, a native of Lutcher and resident of Gramercy, died Jan. 7. She was the wife of the late William H. Felps andmother of Janell Felps and Etta Ruiz.

She was also the sister of Aimee Gameinhardt, Marie Hymel, Joseph and Onell Simon and the late Norris Simon.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy,with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Visitation starts at 8a.m.JACOB RESERVE – Nellie Louque Jacob, 89, a native of Grand Point and resident of Reserve for the past 70 years, died Jan. 5. She was the wife of the lateWilson Jacob and mother of Marjorie Ordeneaux and Murphy and Terry Jacob.

She was also the daughter of the late Adrien and Adorestine Bourgeois Louque and sister of Viola Duhon.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 8 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.

LEWIS HARVEY – Louise “Ida” White Lewis, 74, a native of Killona and a resident of Marrero, died Jan. 3. She was the former wife of the Rev. Talton W.Lewis and mother of Louise Aldridge, Victoria “Betty” Lewis and Dianne Lewis.

She was also the daughter of the late James Sr. and Alberta D. White andsister of Catherine Betz, Robert, Louis and Charles White and the late Annie Lawson, Geneva Bird, Carrie Jarrow and James Jr., Willie, Romaliceand Dan White.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Harvey, withinterment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.

MALARCHER CONVENT – Leroy C. Malarcher, 57, a native and resident of Convent, diedJan. 4. He was the father of Jamillah, Camilla, Nicole and WendellMalarcher.

He was also the brother of Helen Jones, Linda Marmillion, Dorthy Stone, Shirley Claiborne, Martha Laroche, Gloria Youngblood, Wendell, Sharon, Margarette, Dave, Varieste, Alvin and Joseph Marlarcher and James and Clarence Williams.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at Phillippean Baptist Church, Convent, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.McKINLEY NEW ORLEANS – Melvin V. “Ruff” McKinley, 75, a native of Convent andresident of New Orleans for many years, died Jan. 5. He was the husband ofGeniver Black McKinley and father of Betty Thompson and Alvin, Calvin, Ernest and Samuel McKinley.

He is also the brother of Lillian Melancon and Andrew McKinley.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services are today at noon in the chapel of Majestic Mortuary, New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation starts at11 a.m.ROUSSEL DESTREHAN – Toby Louque Roussel, 70, a native and resident of Destrehan, died Jan. 5. She was the wife by first marriage of the late Keller D.Roussel and by second marriage of Deacon Ted Roussel and mother of Sandra O’Brien, Debby Dumas and Danny, Linda, Wayne and Mark Roussel.

She was also the daughter of the late Julius and Estelle Louque and sister of Doris Mayeaux and Donald, Nolan and the late Julius Louque Jr.

She is also survived by 21 grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 8 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

VIAL NORCO – Evelyn Chiasson Vial, 62, a native and resident of Norco, died Jan.

5. She was the wife of Jackie Vial.She was also the daughter of the late Noah and Azilda Keating Chiasson and sister of Joseph N. Chiasson.Services were held Jan. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco.
