ADAMS NEW ORLEANS – Milton J. “Chatter” Adams, 63, a native of Vacherie and aresident of Malaysia, died Oct. 27. He was the husband of Barbara Adamsand father of Linda Craig, Kim Williams, Shewann Raines, Christal Rundell, Felita Bodden and Anthony, Wayne, Neval and Milton Adams Jr.
He was also the brother of Dorothy Bowser, Mildred Daniels, Barbara Terry and Jean, Nelson, Russel and Mark Adams.
He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was an employee of Bredero Price Co. for 38 years.Memorial services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church,Algiers. Burial was in Malaysia.
ALLISON GRAMERCY – Vernon Allison, 83, a native of Cascilla, Miss., and a residentof Gramercy, died Dec. 4. He was the husabnd of Frances B. Allison andfather of Sandy Cambre and Glenda Wilson.
He was also the son of the late Archie and Sallie Allison and brother of Mildred Dunn.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by onegrandchild.
He was a Kaiser Aluminum retiree after many years of service.
Services were held Dec. 6 at First Baptist Church, Gramercy, withinterment at Resthaven Cemetery, Baton Rouge.
BURRELL EDGARD – Mark Anthony Burrell, 23, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 2. He was the son of Bruno Jr. and Regina Weber Burrell and brother ofMonica Brown, Sharon Scott and Denise Burrell.
He was also the grandson of the late Bruno Sr. and Elnora Roussel Burrelland Joseph and Mildred Bossier Weber.
Services were held Dec. 4 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church cemetery.
CARTER GARYVILLE – Harry Carter, 61, a native of White Castle, former resident of Reserve and a resident of New Orleans, died Nov. 30. He was the father ofFreida Fluence and the late Andrew Carter.
He was also the son of Celia Carter and the late Joseph Carter Sr. andbrother of Ethel Robertson, Patricia Jackson, James Carter and the late Theresa Coxie and Joseph Carter Jr.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 6 in the chapel of Earl Baloney & Sons FuneralHome, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.
GUERET RESERVE – Cathy Vicknair Gueret, 41, a native and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 2. She was the wife of Allen Gueret and mother of Cheryl andTammy Gueret.
She was also the daughter of Simone Vicknair and the late James Vicknair and sister of Melissa Glorioso and Pascal and James Vicknair Jr.
Services were held Dec. 6 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.
JOHNSON EDGARD – Beulah Johnson, 65, a native and resident of Edgard, died Dec. 2.She was the daughter of Olympe Johnson and the late Oden Johnson Sr. andsister of the late Oden “Nick” Johnson.
Services were held Dec. 7 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church cemetery.
LeBLANC LAPLACE – Beatrice “Miss Bea” LeBlanc, 94, a native of Gramercy and a resident of Garyville for 75 years, died Dec. 4. She was the wife fo thelate Charles C. LeBlanc and mother of Sybil Newcomb, Madge Kollatt andCarl, Herman Sr. and Adrian LeBlanc Sr.She was also the daughter of the late Donate and Evela Oubre Rome and sister of Bernice Jarreau and the late Ernestine Edrignton, Cecile Jones, Army Hatfield and Leonile Snoden.
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held Dec. 7 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
MADERE DESTREHAN – Barbara Ann Faucheux Madere, 66, a native of Hahnville and resident of New Sarpy, died Dec. 4. She was the wife of Louis DonaldMadere and mother of Dawn Tregre, Mary New, Danny, Perry and Glenn Madere and the late Peggy Jeanne Madere Honnoll.
She was also the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Faucheux and sister of Lorraine Gonzales, Joan Marmillion and the late Charles “Boston” Faucheux.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
She was a retired clerk from the St. Rose Post Office.Services were held Dec. 6 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
McDONALD LAPLACE – Glen R. McDonald, 65, a native of Mitchell and a resident ofLaPlace for 19 years, died Dec. 6. He was the husband of Frances PerretMcDonald and father of Angela Roussel and Todd McDonald.
He was also the son of the late Wilburn and Annie McDonald and brother of James and Wilburn McDonald Jr. and the late Ruthie Davis.He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services are today at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 11a.m.
SMITH ST. JAMES – Earl Smith Sr., 74, a native and resident of St. James, diedDec. 3. He was the husband of Izellia Mitchell Smith and father of MaryBatiste, Shelia Sharper, Earl Jr. and Donald Smith and the late Ella Mae andRhonda Smith.
He was also the son of the late Earl and Eroda Lee Smith.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, St. James,with interment at Burton Lane Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
TROXCLAIR LAPLACE – Huey Joseph Troxclair, 64, a native of Mt. Airy and resident ofLaPlace for 33 years, died Dec. 4. He was the husband of Mary Helen WeberTroxclair and father of Maria Chauvin DeRoche and Leslie and Bruce Troxclair.
He was also the son of the late Lazaine and Bertha Champagne Troxclair and brother of Gladys Toups, Lillian Petrocelli, Sophie Clesi, Hazel Schwarz, Allen Troxclair and the late Glenn Troxclair.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 7 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
WEBER LAPLACE – Beulah Hymel Weber, 74, a native of Wallace and a resident of LaPlace for the past 55 years, died Dec. 4. She was the wife of the lateBenedict Joseph Weber and mother of Glenda Wactor, Karen Estey, Roxanna Munsch, Symil Skansi, Wanda Montz, Janice Babin and Ronald Weber.
She was also the daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Leona Hymel andsister of Nora Roussel, Mabel Clement, Margie Tregre, Edward Hymel Jr.,Elsie Abadie, Rita Simon and the late Anne Rome.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 7 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
