HAHNVILLE – St. Charles sheriff’s deputies marked a violent few daysrecently, according to Lt. Dwayne LaGrange.A Luling man was charged Saturday morning with attempted first-degree murder after an argument with his girlfriend during which he shot at her.

Roland Stevenson, 41, of 827 Milling Ave. Apt. 10 in Luling, was booked ona charge of attempted first-degree murder and on an outstanding attachment for no driver’s license.

LaGrange reported that London and Stevenson and his girlfriend, Cassandra London, 31, were each arrested following their argument, during which London allegedly cut Stevenson on the head and arm with a 4-inch blade knife, and Stevenson allegedly fired a shot at London with a .32-caliberhandgun, but missed.

LaGrange added that the argument began after both had been drinking heavily all day. Finally, she declared she was leaving him and the couplegot into a fistfight outside which quickly escalated.

After he fired the gunshot, both ran back into the apartment where deputies found them upon arrival. The sheriff’s office was called at 12:18a.m. to the disturbance by neighbors.London was charged with aggravated battery and misrepresentation during booking. The second charge was added when she gave a false name.Bond was set at $200,000 for Stevenson and $27,000 for London by 29th Judicial District Judge Robert Chaisson.

Fernandez Robertson Jr., 44, of 200 Sunset Court Apt. 75 in Hahnville,was charged Monday evening with aggravated battery, simple battery and being a fugitive from another agency after an argument with a 30-year- old River Ridge woman.

The victim had been living with Robertson at the Hahnville housing development where he saw her talking to another man and got into a jealous rage.

During the argument which followed, LaGrange said, he allegedly cut her twice and punched her face several times, whereupon the victim stabbed Robertson in the neck in self-defense.

When deputies arrived, he was on top of her threatening her with a knife.

Deputies ordered him to drop the weapon and surrender and he did so.

Bond was set at $55,000 by Judge Emile St. Pierre. Karsten K. Kirk, 25, of150 Cathy St. in Norco, was charged Mondayafternoon with aggravated second-degree battery after an argument with a 22-year-old Norco man.

Kirk allegedly gave the victim a 10-inch cut in the back of the head with an unknown object. He remains in jail on a $25,000 bond set by Judge St.Pierre.
