This weekend is Halloween, and the usual safety precautions should be mentioned and, we urge, observed. Watch out on Sunday evening, especiallyat dusk, suddenly darting out in traffic in residential neighborhoods. Notall will be wearing brightly-colored costumes.

Check your child’s candy once they arrive home. Urge them not to eatanything until you’ve had a chance to check. Discard any which have beenopened or are otherwise not pre-packaged. Tampering is rare, but commonsense should prevail. It never hurts to be careful.Finally, don’t drink and drive. More people than usual will be on foot and atragedy can easily be avoided.
