DUMAS

VACHERIE – Victor Joseph Dumas, 68, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 20. He was the husband of Gracie Dumas and father of Adrial Narcisse,Courtney Bradshaw and Rainer Dumas.

He was also the brother of Lucille Riley, Gladys Trepagnier, Elizabeth Harry and Paul Dumas.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 24 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, SouthVacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

HAYDEL

NORCO – Jessie Joseph Haydel, 84, a native of Convent, resident of St. Charles Parish for 70 years, and resident of Norco since 1949, died Nov. 20.He was the husband of Catherine LeBlanc Haydel and father of Kenneth Haydel.

He was also the son of the late Ernest and Elda Waguespack Haydel and brother of Jennie Maggiorie Landry, Ernest and the late Rita Haydel.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

He was a 1941 graduate of LSU, a World War II veteran and a Shell Oil Co. retiree.

Services were held Nov. 22 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco,with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

HEBERT

NEW ORLEANS – Leana B. Hebert, 64, a native of Taft and resident of Gretnafor 25 years, died Nov. 17. She was the wife of Melvin Hebert Sr., mother ofCynthia Molliere, Janice Charles, Robin Boyd, Kim Isaac, Shelita Mott, Allen Jr.

and Walter LaGrange and stepmother of Chelissa, Melvin Jr., Darren andJarrod Hebert and the late Sharlene Hebert.

She was also the sister of Melinda Washington, Sylvia Joseph, Caroline Byrd, Myrtle Boyd, Evelina Jefferson, Brenda Champagne, Barbara Colly and James, Ronald and Donald Brimmer.

She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 24 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, NewOrleans, with interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park, Boutte.

MILTON

EDGARD – Freddie “June” Milton Jr., 40, a native and resident of Edgard, diedNov. 19. He was the son of Freddie and Florence Milton and brother of ZildaDukes, Gayle Hillaire, Harriet Gros and Brenda Milton.

Services were held Nov. 24 at Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard,with interment at Young Cemetery, Edgard.

TRICHE

VACHERIE – Claude Alfred Triche, 74, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 21. He was the husband of Rose Inness Triche and father of BeverlyMatherne and Darrell “Dunyon” Triche.

He was also the brother of the late Louise Harmon and six brothers.

He was also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, SouthVacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8a.m.

WEBRE

RESERVE – Stephen Webre, 84, a native of Edgard and resident of Reserve for 54 years, died Nov. 21. He was the husband of the late Lucille RousselleWebre and father of Dianne Waguespack and Stephen and Russell Webre.

He was also the brother of Cecile Holmes, Rene and Theodore Webre and the late Isma Keller and Dudley Webre.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 24 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.

ZIEGLER

LAPLACE – Peter “Pete” Ziegler, 41, a native of Indiana and resident of Gramercy for 20 years, died Nov. 21. He was the son of the late WalterZiegler and Thelma Harrier, stepson of Bill Harrier and Alberta Ziegler and brother of Danny King, Kathy Smith and Dani Harrier.

Services are today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitationstarts at 11 a.m.
