With Tregre’s RBI, the Hahnville Tigers ended their regular season with a 10-0 victory against Thibodaux. With the victory, they also secured the district 7-5A championship, and are on their way to a playoff game against the district 8-5A winner. There was practically no offense until the fifth inning. Hahnville held Thibodaux scoreless throughout the game, allowing only 19batters to the plate. Of those 19, only two got bases on hits. Thibodaux gave up two runs in the second inning, but then quickly retired Hahnville in the third and fourth innings, sending six up and six down in rapid succession. When left fielder Tim Sirman drew a walk, the bases were loaded. Five RBI singles followed, with two runners making it to home plate on Dustin Roussell’s base hit. Tregre, who had already scored a run earlier in the fifth, had runners at the corners. He drove a 1-2 pitch deep into center field. With shortstop Mike Picard’s run, the ballgame was called due to the 10-run rule.
