DAVIS
HAHNVILLE – Lawrence Davis Sr., 64, a native of Boutte and resident of Killona for 30 years, died Oct. 5.
He was the husband of Caldonia Brown Davis and father of Susan Poree, Evelina Diggs and Michele, Lawrence Jr., Leroy, Michael, Anthony and Andrew Davis.
He was the brother of Theresa Fiffee, Evelyn Alexander, Elizabeth King, Bobbie Sandolph and Larry, Edward, Joe Jr., Isaac and Otis Davis.
He is survived by 17 grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
DUHE
LUTCHER – Melvin “Mel” Philip Duhe, 58, a native of Gramercy and resident of Metairie for most of his life, died Oct. 6. He was the son of the late Norman and Elizabeth Gray Duhe and brother of Ione Killian and Norman, Gilbert, Ronald and the late Michael Duhe.
Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at noon.
PIERCE
PAULINA – Annie Mae Louviere Pierce, 88, a native of New Iberia and resident of Paulina, died Oct. 8. She was the wife of the late Earl Pierce and mother of Lois Rote.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Octavia Sedotole Louviere and sister of Theresa David, Emily Richard, L.J. Louviere and the late Ada Bonin and Adam Louviere.
She is survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at Greenoaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m.
SIMON
UNION – Lawrence A. Simon, 77, a native of Vacherie and lifelong resident of St. James Parish, died Oct. 6. He was the husband of Mercedes “DeDees” Letulle Simon.
He was the son of the late Prudent and Olphida Simon and brother of Allen, Floyd, Neil and Pelham Simon and the late Eunice Abadie, Blanche Poche, Rose Vilnerve, Pearl Attenhoffer and Prudent Jr., Daniel, Vivian and Vincent Simon Sr.
Services were Oct. 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Union, with interment at the church mausoleum.
SIXKILLER
METAIRIE – Jeannette Emily Trepagnier Sixkiller, 86, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 8. She was the wife of the late Jesse Sixkiller Sr., companion of Lee “Pope” Campbell, mother of Lola Butler and Gerald “Jerry” Sixkiller and stepmother of Gladys Braniff and the late Dorothy Braniff and Jesse Sixkiller Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Etienne Sixkiller and sister of Nellie Powell, Etienne “Butts” Trepagnier and the late Kathleen Carmouche, Winifred Faucheux, Leona Metzler and Villemont and Henry Trepagnier.
She is survived by three grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one stepgrandchild.
She was a retired doctor’s assistant for 35 years.
Services are today at noon at the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at the funeral home mausoleum. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
TROXCLAIR
NORCO – Thaddeus “Butch” “Tootsie” Troxclair, 69, a native of New Sarpy and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 3. He was the husband of the late Joanne Christenson Troxclair, by first marriage, and Patricia Brannon Troxclair, by second marriage, and father of Cindy, Chris, Cory, Craig and Chad Troxclair.
He was the son of the late Noah and Eliska Troxclair-Simon and brother of Catherine Waguespack, Patsy Anderson, Janice Beadle, Eliska Mosley and Malcolm, Vincent and the late Noah “Blackie” Troxclair.
He is survived by 11 grandchildren.
He was a retired carpenter and business agent.
Services are Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with cremation to follow.
ZERINGUE
PAULINA – Norman Peter “Tom” Zeringue, 75, a native of Uncle Sam and resident of Lutcher, died Oct. 6.
He was the husband of Ethel Roche Zeringue and father of Renee Waguespack and Norman Jr. and Brent Zeringue.
He was the son of the late Victor and Irene Brou Zeringue and brother of Joseph, Herman and Eldridge “Gee” Zeringue and the late Beatrice Jacobs and Ralph and Rene “Boonie” Zeringue.
He is survived by seven grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
