BOURGEOIS
LAPLACE – Shelby Lynn Bourgeois, newborn, died Oct. 22. She was the daughter of William Bourgeois and Angela Carter and sister of Hannah Carter and Lacey, Kacey, Ashley and William Bourgeois.
She was the grandchild of Lawrence and Pamela Laiche and Hubert and Mary Bourgeois and great-grandchild of Elizabeth Vanderheyden.
Graveside services were Oct. 25 at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
CUCINELLO
PAULINA – Victor Joseph Cucinello, 75, a native of New Orleans and resident of Paulina for 26 years, died Oct. 27.
He was the husband of Janet Cucinello; father of Donna Moneada and Victor and Frank Cucinello; and stepfather of James and the late Richard Jumonville.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah D. Cucinello and brother of Rosemary Williams, Sarita Clements, Tony and Frank Cucinello and the late Catherine Dickerson and Nick Cucinello.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired riverboat captain for ITO International.
Services were Oct. 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with private interment.
FABRE
DESTREHAN – David E. Fabre Jr., 26, a native of New Orleans and resident of New Sarpy, died Oct. 24. He was the husband of Stacey Fabre and father of Dakota Fabre.
He was the son of David Fabre Sr. and Ginger Franks; stepson of Wayne Franks; and brother of Angelia Broussard and Jeramie and Natalie Fabre.
He was also the grandchild of Randy and Dorothy Simoneaux and the late Emile Fabre and Joyce Dutrieux.
Services were Oct. 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
HYMEL
NEW ORLEANS – Gerard Francois Hymel, 80, a native of Edgard, former resident of Reserve and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Oct. 22. He was the husband of Agatha Bertucci Coats Hymel; father of Blandine Williams and Rose Trosclair; and stepfather of Warren Jr. and Ronald Coats Sr.
He was the son of the late Clement and Regina Songy Hymel and brother of Blandine Williams, Rose Trosclair and Albin, Arnold and Clement Hymel.
He is also survived by six stepgrandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 28 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at a later date.
IMHOFF
LAPLACE – Verlie Labat Imhoff, 61, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 28. She was the wife of Laurence Imhoff and mother of Chantell Hines.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Adelian Labat and sister of Roy Labat Jr. and the late Betty Jean Hopson, Brenda Jordan and Wilbert Labat.
She is also survived by one grandchild.
Services are Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, New Orleans. Visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home is 5-10 p.m. today and starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
WESOLOWSKI
LAPLACE – Caroline Natalie Wesolowski, 81, a native of Elizabeth, N.J., and resident of LaPlace for six years, died Oct. 24. She was the sister of Elizabeth Church and Walter Wesolowski.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Memorial services were Oct. 27 at Lutheran Church of the Galilean, LaPlace.
