Across this great nation, people will demonstrate their patriotism, their support of the aims to eliminate the terrorists threat to the world, to show support for our military and our police, firefighters and other emergency workers.

Flags will be flown. Speeches will be made. Pride will swell hearts. Memories will be shaken. Tears will be shed.

What have we learned?

We have learned that we live in the greatest nation the world has ever seen, the envy of despots around the globe and the hope of the hopeless. We also know many Americans do not realize that plain fact.

That’s the greatest threat of all – that people will forget, and lose this land.
