Taekwondo students earn 63 trophies at recent championship in Slidell

Students from William Cothren’s Taekwondo plus karate school won a total of 63 trophies at the recent taekwondo championships in Gretna, La.
The students competed against more than 350 students in the region, from Slidell to Luling and LaPlace in form, free form and sparring competitions. The students took home 15 first place trophies, 15 second place, 23 third place and 10 fourth place trophies.
The first place finishers include: Gianna Cothren, Timothy Sibley, Sr., Nicholas Flournoy, Daniel Miller, Lance Lopez, Trenton Dunn, Kayla Lehrisse, Joshua Rutter, Monique Briggs, Jamond Lagrande, Jeffery Hall, Terry Goines, Tre’ Dawson.
Second place winners are: Gianna Cothren, Zachary Cothren, Timothy Sibley Sr., Nancilyn Sibley, Timothy Sibley Jr., Warren Lennix, Lance Lopez, Trenton Dunn, Damien Dinet, Dwayne Tauceda, Andre’ Senauth, Daylis Senauth, Terry Guynes.
Third place included: Zachary Cothren, Nancilyn Sibley, Deborah Sibley, Rashard Collins, Warren Lennix, David Flournoy, Daniel Miller, Lance Lopez, Stephen Leblanc, Chris Fernandez, Andraneka Keller, Stephen Lane, Ricky Lanoue, Aaron Power, Matthew Kunkel, Gregory Keller, Joshua Taylor, Nicole Marrero, Justin Baker, Dylan Bardell. Fourth place finishers were: Gregory Jackson, Demond Stokes, Trevor Bergeron, Alex Matherne, Michael Mcgee, Chris Guynes, Devin Burke, Nicholas Tamplain, Sherman Jones and Collin Yeargin.
