RESERVE – The Brusly Lady Panthers threatened in the first and sixth innings, but the Lady Rebels held their one-point lead for the win Thursday.

The Lady Rebels took to the field at the top of the first inning, then scored their only run at the bottom of the inning. The score when a Summer Delaneuville hit to the middle of left field sent senior Ashley LeBlanc in from third base. Riverside attempted a second such hit to left field, but Brusly caught the ball to end the inning. The Lady Rebels threatened to score again in the fourth quarter off a Mindy Richard high hit. Lisa Lambert launched from third base, but the Lady Panthers made the throw and tag in just enough time to stop Lambert from scoring and end the inning. Delaneuville pitched all seven innings and was 3-3 from the plate, with one RBI. The Lady Rebels take their 3-1 record on the road to face Berwick today.
