St. John

BUGGAGE

GONZALES – Elvige Campbell Buggage, 65, a native of Convent and resident of Gonzales, died March 12.

She was the mother of Gwendolyn Pye, Gloria Gray, Evelynne Campbell and Joyce Hall.

She was also the daughter of the late Joseph Campbell and Elvina Buggage, and sister of Lillie Campbell, Albert Campbell and Marshall McKarry, and the late Jessie Campbell, Felix and Lawrence Rivers.

She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were March 16 at New St. John Fellowship Church, Gonzales, with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.

GERACI

LAPLACE – Lois Terry Geraci, 64, a native of Tahoka, Texas, and resident of LaPlace for 15 years, died March 14.

She was the wife of Phillip A. Geraci and mother of Tonia Caminita, Steven, Phillip J. and Kevin Geraci.

She was also the sister of Joyce Bauerle, Dan and Pat Terry and the late Dennis Terry.

She is also survived by six grandchildren. Age 64 years. A native of Tahoka, Texas and a resident of LaPlace, La. for the past 15 years.

Services were March 15 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

GRANIER

ST. JAMES – Raymond Francis “Mike” Granier, 66, a native and resident of St. James, died March 15.

He was the son of Edna Chiquet, and the late Louis Granier, and brother of Mary Ann Lambert, Thomas, Timothy, Larry and Robert Granier, and the late Earl, James and Eugene Granier.

He was a veteran of the Louisiana National Guard and a retired maintenance electrical worker at St. James Co-Op with 41 years of service.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

GUILLOT

LAPLACE – Alma Jacob Guillot, 92, a native and resident of Reserve, died March 14.

She was the wife of the late Frank Guillot, and mother of Mervin Guillot and Marie Borne.

She was also the daughter of the late Moise and Lida Cambre Jacob, and sister of Shirleen Trosclair, Robert, Harry, Marcel and Leonard Jacob, and the late Guy and Allain Jacob.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were March 16 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

JOHNSON

RESERVE – Morris Johnson, Sr., 81, a native and resident of LaPlace, died March 12.

He was the husband of Dorothy Johnson and father of Larry, Norward and Hilton Johnson, and the late Morris Jr. and Walter A. Johnson.

He was also the son of the late Amos and Florence Swayze Johnson, and brother of Ruby Hayes.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren

Services were March 16 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at Providence Rest Haven Cemetery, Laplace.

HOFFMAN

NORCO – Harry Davis Hoffmann, 90, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Norco, died March 10.

He was the husband of the late Alma Braud Hoffman, and father of James Hoffman.

He was also the son of the late Harry A. and Elmire Davis Hoffmann, and brother of Anna Mae Coriell, Lillian Pilla and Bertha Savoia, and the late Earl Hoffmann.

He is also survived by one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

He was the office manager for National Gypsum Co. with 42 years of service. He was a founding and Loyal Member of The Marsh Duck Club for over 30 years.

Services were March 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at Ascension Mausoleum; Donaldsonville.

HOLYOKE

LAPLACE – Alvin Bradford Holyoke, 70, a native of Somerville and resident of Reserve for 14 years, died March 14.

He was the father of Joycelyn and Carleen Holyoke.

He was also the brother of Doanld Holyoke.

He was a retired truck driver.

Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at Garden of Memories. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m.

HOWARD

PAULINA – Dave Howard, Jr., 79, a native of Convent and resident of White Castle for many years, died March 10.

He was the father of Nettie Parquette, Glenda Gaines and James Davis.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

Services were March 16, 2004 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Paulina, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

MAIR

BOUTTE – Barbara Ann Muller Mair, 54, a native of New Orleans and resident of Luling for many years, died March 12. She was the mother of Melissa Burnam, Christi Harding and Roger Mair Jr.

She was also the sister of Brenda Falcon, Irene Nicholas, Betty Ray and Patricia Talbot.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Services were March 16 at West St. Charles Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

MARTIN

PAULINA – Clark “Chucky” Vincent Martin, 50, a native of LaPlace and resident of Lutcher for 26 years, died March 10.

He was the husband of 26 years of Mona LeMoine Martin and father of Teri Jenkins and Clark Martin Jr.

He was also the son of the late Gilmer and Cecile Martin, and brother of Father Gilmer Martin Jr., Merle Triche, Lynne Bennett and Eloise “Tootie” Martin, and the late Kim Martin.

He was a long-time employee of Marathon-Ashland Petroleum in Garyville, LA.

“Chucky” held the high esteem of Eagle Scout, a member of the Sunday Choir at St. Joseph Church in Paulina and a member of the KC Council 1817. He was also aa honorary member of the 3-Ell’s Club, a Little League Coach for many years and a avid musician.

Services were March 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.

NEWMAN

HAHNVILLE – Robert N. Newman Jr., 45, a native of New Orleans, past resident of Hahnville and resident of New Orleans, died March 14.

He was the stepfather of Steven and James Lightell.

He was also the stepbrother of Deidre Dogan.

He was a cross-country truck driver.

Private services were held March 12, with private interment.

PERRILLOUX

RESERVE – Edward “Quank” “Boy” Perrilloux, 82, a native and resident of Reserve, died March 11.

He was the father of Maria Roussel, Gizelle Cooper, Edward “Pepper” Perrilloux, and the late Reyald Perrilloux Sr.

He was also the son of the late Wilfred Sr. and Virginia Lawrence Perrilloux, and brother of Myrtle Davis, and the late Virginia Pate, Mary Cook Joseph, Wilfred Jr., frank and Elmo Perrilloux.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were March 15 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
