LAPLACE – The entertainment and events schedule for this weekend’s Andouille Festival was provided by the festival’s organizers.

The festival begins Friday evening and continued through Sunday night, near the Percy Hebert Building on Airline Highway in LaPlace.

The festival operates Friday, Oct. 22 from 6 p.m. – midnight

From 7 – 11 p.m., Take Five, Band Stage

On Saturday, Oct. 23, the festival is running from 10 a.m. – midnight

10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Gumbo Cookoff, Cajun Village Stage

11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Shoestring Players

Noon-1 p.m., Performing Arts Dance Group, Cajun Village Stage

1 – 1:30 p.m., Introduction Andouille Pageant Winners, Band Stage

1 – 2 p.m., William Cothren Ta Kwan Do Plus, Cajun Village Stage

2 – 6 p.m., Lil Alfred & Streak with Willie Tee, Band Stage

2 -2:45 p.m., Shoestring Players (Storytelling, Live Theater), Cajun Village Stage

3 – 4 p.m., “Aveda Takes Center Stage” Fashion Show, Presented by Salon Menage, Cajun Village Stage
