Patrick Jackson nails 12 carries for 217 yards and four touchdowns

METAIRIE – The West St. John Rams journeyed to St. Martin’s and returned home triumphant, with a 52-0 win under their belts.

Starting off the game, the Rams scored two points on a safety, nailing the ball carrier in the end zone.

Soon, Patrick Jackson scored on a 1-yard run for a touchdown and added a two-point conversion to make the total 10-0.

Initius Howard scored next on a 3-yard run. The two-point conversion was made with a Juan Joseph pass to John Johnson and an 18-0 lead.

Finally, Jackson scored again, this on a 3-yard run. The PAT try failed, but the Rams still led 24-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second period, it was Jackson again, this on a 22-yard run, matched by Howard’s PAT for a 31-0 lead. Deron Bartholemew made the next TD on a 36-yard run, matched by Howard’s PAT and a 38-0 lead going into halftime.

The third quarter gave Rams fans more to cheer about, with Howard scoring on a 7-yard run, then turning around and booting the PA for a 45-0 lead.

Scoring ended for the West St. John Rams with a 58-yard run by Jackson, matched by Howard’s PAT, makin the tally 52-0.

The fourth quarter went scoreless by both teams, but few complained.

Jackson wrapped up the evening with 12 carries for 217 yards and four touchdowns. His longest carry was a 58-yard ramble.

In passing stats, Joseph was barely there, with three receptions on five passes for 25 yards.
