With the exception of Lutcher, every River Parish school will see district action Friday night. However, Lutcher’s game against Thibodaux may end up being the most competitive of any game on this week’s slate of action. Other action will see St. James traveling to Thibodaux to play E.D White in a 10-3A game, while St. Charles Catholic will be on the road to play Donaldsonville in another 10-3A game. District 10-2A will see West St. John hosting Fisher in a battle of two of the top three teams in the district. Riverside Academy, the other top team in 10-2A, will return home to play St. Martin’s in another 10-2A game. In 6-5A action, East St. John will host H.L Bourgeois, while Destrehan and Hahnville will take their act down the bayou.

Destrehan will travel to Mathews to play Central Lafourche, while Hahnville will head to play Terrebonne in Houma.

Fisher versus West St. John

It will be a battle of two teams with 2-0 district records Friday night at Dinvaut Stadium. The West St. John Rams are coming off an explosive 52-0 victory over St. Martin’s last Friday, while Fisher defeated Redeemer-Seton, 20-6. Fisher held Redeemer-Seton to only six first downs in the game.

West St. John was led in their win over St. Martin’s by running back Patrick Jackson who rushed for 223 yards on 11 carries and scored four touchdowns in the victory. Initius Howard finished the game with 97-yards on nine carries. In 2003, the Rams overwhelmed Fisher 56-3 by gaining 406 yards of rushing.

Kickoff is set for 7PM in Edgard.

H.L Bourgeois versus East St. John

The H.L Bourgeois Braves have the unlucky task this week of trying to stop Ryan Perrilloux and the high-powered East St. John Wildcats. HLB is coming off a 30-17 non-district victory over South Terrebonne in Houma, while the Wildcats are coming off a 70-0 trouncing of Ellender. It was a game in which East St. John led by a whopping score of 58-0 at halftime. Perrilloux was responsible for eight of his team’s touchdowns.
